Thank you to those who supported THE DROP 104.7 on Colorado Gives Day!

Due to high winds and fire danger, XCEL Energy is periodically cutting power to our transmitter site on Lookout Mountain. This will result in periodic broadcast outages which will persist until fire danger subsides. Thank you for your understanding and support! You can listen online and on THE DROP 104.7 app.

Community Corner | Free Period

An extreme lover of music and all that it encompasses, Jason “SugaBear” Harris has been a fixture in the music/radio community for over 22 yrs
La Molly is a proud Westwood based artist and DJ

SugaBear and La Molly welcomed guests Casino Perosi, DCI Tour Program Manager, and Paul Clifton from The Confluence Center for an informative in-studio experience at the Buell Public Media Center.

The Confluence Center is home to Free Period, a student-produced multimedia series that blends live music and in-studio podcast tapings into free, community-centered events. Behind it all is The Confluence Media Center, a Media Arts Maker space nestled inside McGlone Academy in the heart of Montbello. Their mission is as powerful as their work: building community through storytelling, amplifying youth voices, and creating uplifting multimedia narratives rooted in identity and belonging. As part of the visit, one of their students Linda sat in on the live broadcast of Community Corner, and discussed her experience with the program. Have a listen to this enlightening conversation about the power of creativity, and the importance of nurturing it through these amazing students.
