La Molly

Molly Gallegos (professionally known as "La Molly") is a proud Westwood based artist and DJ. She is one half of Ciudad Reina, an arts collaborative that brings immersive 'AlterLatine\" musical experiences into Denver's most culturally rich neighborhoods. Molly also hosts Super Sonido on KUVO JAZZ every Sunday at 4 pm where she explores what it means to be Latinx, using music as the guide. Artistic expression as a means of cultural and identity exploration is at the heart of everything she does. Born and raised in Boulder, Molly has lived in Colorado most of her life. La Molly received her Bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University in Ethnic Studies and her Master’s degree from CU Denver in Social Sciences and Women and Gender Studies. When her head isn’t buried in headphones you can find her painting, drinking coffee and reading a book or getting schooled in Madden by her son Joaquin.
