Community Corner | Erick Arredondo: Joy as Resistance

Erick Aredondo, owner of Airick Media, joined SugaBear and La Molly on Community Corner to talk about his work as a documentary filmmaker. An immigrant himself, much of his work centers the immigrant, and specifically DACA recipient, experience. Arredondo’s new films, Journey Abroad and What We Are From, chronicle DACA recipients traveling abroad through the advance parole program and how they find joy and freedom even in a “jaula de oro.”
