Community Corner | Warm Cookies of the Revolution
Warm Cookies of the Revolution is a Denver based civic engagement organization that believes community participation should be joyful, creative, and accessible to everyone.
Instead of shaming people for not being more involved, they meet folks where they are, transforming civic life into something irresistible and fun. Through live events, video series, and unexpected collaborations with artists, performers, and community groups, Warm Cookies invites regular people to connect with the decisions, stories, and culture that shape their everyday lives.
Their work takes on issues that are often seen as boring, confusing, or polarizing, like local government, public transportation, gentrification, or even where our poop goes, and reimagines them as engaging, disarming experiences. From working with comedians and mariachis to lowrider car clubs and circus performers, Warm Cookies uses creativity as a tool to break down barriers and spark curiosity, especially among people who are least likely to show up to traditional civic spaces.
At the heart of everything they do is one guiding question: “Who is not in the room that needs to be here?” By developing programs alongside residents and artists who are deeply connected to their communities, Warm Cookies of the Revolution works to widen the circle of who holds power, amplify diverse voices, and make civic life feel relevant, human, and worth showing up for.
