Choppin' It Up: Indigo Jones with Yasmine Emani

Indigo Jones, is hanging out with you on Saturdays 7 pm to midnight and Sundays 10 am to 2 pm, giving you the best in contemporary and alternative R&B and Hip Hop — plus gems from local artists who keep Denver’s sound alive

In this interview, Indigo Jones sat down with the stunning Yasmine Emani, a singer, songwriter, actress, and performer from Denver, Colorado. She’s also known as “The GoDdess of the Western Slope.”

After recently relocating to New York, Yasmine has gained a new perspective on her journey in artistry, self-identity, and self expression. Though she continues to grow as an artist on the East Coast, her love and pride for Denver's creative community remains at her core.

Indigo Jones and Yasmine discussed her move to New York, its impact on her as an artist, and her vision for her upcoming show. From her point of view, Emani beautifully expressed that being an artist goes beyond creating music — it's a purpose that elevates both herself and the community around her, which is exactly what inspired her upcoming show this Saturday, April 25th, at Dazzle Denver!

The show is a love letter to the vibrant, creative culture of Denver. It pays homage to local artists, bringing the community together, and celebrating the pride of being a native in the Mile High City.
