Put You On | CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso
In a Latin music scene dominated by reggaetón, trap, and regional sounds, CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso are doing something entirely different. The Argentine duo have built a universe of their own, one that thrives on chaos, virtuosity, and fearless experimentation. Their sound refuses to sit still, moving fluidly between trap, funk, rock, jazz, and electronic music, often within a single song.
The two artists, Catriel Guerreiro (CA7RIEL) and Ulises Guerriero (Paco Amoroso), met as kids in Buenos Aires when a teacher mistakenly thought they were brothers. That accident sparked a lifelong friendship that would eventually become one of the most exciting creative partnerships in Latin music today. Both were raised in musical households: CA7RIEL grew up watching his father play guitar and dreaming of Michael Jackson and Queen, while Paco was steeped in Argentina’s rich rock tradition, inspired by bands like Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota.
Together, they’ve turned those influences into a sound that’s bold, playful, and deeply rooted in Argentine identity. Their breakout hits like “Ouke” and “Mi Sombra” introduced a generation to their shape-shifting artistry, and their reunion projects, BAÑO MARÍA (2024) and the new EP PAPOTA (2025), have pushed things even further. The latter, paired with a 16-minute short film, blends humor and critique as they reflect on the absurdities of fame.
Over the past year, the duo’s rise has gone global. They’ve sold out shows across continents, appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and lit up major festivals like Coachella, Fuji Rock, Glastonbury, Roskilde, and Lollapalooza. Their viral NPR Tiny Desk Concert, now one of the most-viewed Spanish-language performances in the series, captures what makes them special: live horns and guitars woven through electronic grooves, explosive chemistry, and a theatrical energy that feels both punk and poetic.
CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso represent a new chapter in Latin music, one that’s unafraid to be weird, to be loud, and to be entirely itself. As they continue their world tour, they’re not just crossing borders, they’re redefining them.
