Thank you to those who supported THE DROP 104.7 on Colorado Gives Day!

Due to high winds and fire danger, XCEL Energy is periodically cutting power to our transmitter site on Lookout Mountain. This will result in periodic broadcast outages which will persist until fire danger subsides. Thank you for your understanding and support! You can listen online and on THE DROP 104.7 app.

A Colorado Black Arts Festival Recap

Piper Ruth

Last weekend, KUVO JAZZ and THE DROP 104.7 attended the Colorado Black Arts Festival in City Park for their 39th year. The 80 vendors at the festival featured African jewelry and clothing, body & hair care products, muralists, custom shoe painting, portraitists, food trucks, and more, all highlighting the talent and skills of the local community.

The Colorado Black Arts Festival also showcased performances on their four stages with something for everyone with acts ranging from miming Gospel music to Afrobeat dance to Neo Soul bands.

We are happy and honored to celebrate with the Colorado Black Arts Festival and continually uplift local organizations and artists. Check out our recap of the weekend here, and listen to our exclusive interview with Executive Director Jaleesa McIntosh and Organizer Cameron Simmons on Community Corner here.
