Coloradans looking for old school crate classics, new vibe music, or the state’s most promising independent artists have a home on Denver’s THE DROP 104.7, “The People’s Station for R&B and Hip Hop.”
A part of Rocky Mountain Public Media, THE DROP 104.7 is one of just six “urban alternative” public radio stations in the country, and seeks to be a space for music discovery and community convening.

Rocky Mountain Public Media (RMPM) is Colorado’s largest statewide, member-supported multimedia network, home to Rocky Mountain PBS, KUVO JAZZ, and THE DROP 104.7. RMPM is a nonprofit committed to enhancing Colorado through meaningful media. It fosters learning, creativity, compassion, and curiosity, making these accessible to all. RMPM aims to initiate conversations, support everyone, honor Colorado's diverse history, and work with local communities to build a better future.
THE DROP 104.7 is a hub for music discovery, healing, and community engagement, inspiring the next generation of creatives and innovators. Denver’s premier station for urban alternative, R&B, and hip-hop, THE DROP 104.7 goes beyond sound waves, as a vibrant connector for the community, promoting local involvement and celebrating the region’s rich culture and arts.
KUVO JAZZ is a vibrant public radio station broadcasting a mix of traditional and contemporary jazz, blues, and Latin on 89.3 FM in Denver. With a free app and YouTube channel, it streams programs live to a worldwide listener community. The station features live performances from national touring artists, local musicians, and students, while also participating in concerts and community events. KUVO is dedicated to reflecting the rich cultures of its listeners.
Rocky Mountain PBS is committed to inspiring curiosity and promoting lifelong learning through outstanding programming. We focus on breaking stigmas and highlighting diverse cultures by telling genuine stories from communities across Colorado, providing firsthand perspectives from residents.
